In our coding program, we use the SCRATCH coding tool to teach computer science and programming fundamentals to youth while creating animations and games. The program is open to students in 3rd grade and higher.
Students learn:
Computer science concepts of loops, sequences variables and debugging
How to create characters, movement and scenes
How to debug their creations and reinforce problem solving skills.
We are proud of our partnership with iBio Educate to host the Stellar Girls program. The program will expose girls to science problems focused on feeding, fueling, healing and saving our world. The program targets girls in 3rd grade through middle school.
Some projects include:
Investigating solar energy through solar cookers
Exploring electricity, batteries and power
Learning about recycling and biodegradable plastics
